For the last three years I have created a 12x12 scrapbook calendar. Though people really want to make scrapbook wall calendars they often shy away from it because of the time it takes to complete a layout for each month.
Rather than complete twelve layouts I like to make one I really like that coordinates with the decor where I plan to hang my calendar.
I was inspired to create this years calendar layout when I saw a card posted on Laurie Schmidlin's blog months ago. Her card featured a small envelope with butterflies and sqaures of patterned paper. I remember seeing this card a couple months before the new catalog was due to be released so I just kept the idea in my head waiting to see what beautiful Designer Series Paper Stampin' Up! would come out with. As soon as I saw the Bella Rose DSP this picture of my cousins baby, Olivia, came to mind.
Everything just came together and viola this years calendar was born.
I wish I could be there to see the look on my cousin, Jennifer's, face when she receives this calendar in the mail. She lives back home in Ohio.
These 12x12 calendars make awesome holiday gifts and it is definatley not too early to get started on gifts.
