Very Merry Christmas
I had seen a few of these little boxes on SCS and was dying to make on myself. I managed to get it finished just in time for Open House and was thrilled with how cute it turned out.
You could fill it with a brick of homemade fudge, candy, a gift card and lots more.
I'm hoping to get a tutorial done for this later in the week or this weekend. So check back in a few days.
Sometimes I see the most gorgeous cards on SCS but find myself thinking there is no way I could go through the time and effort it takes to make that and then send it off to be thrown away. But, if you change the dimensions of the card a little bit they make great art pieces to place in a 5"x7" frame for home decor and gifts.
Both of the frames shown below have the glass removed. This allows room for using bulky embellishments and ribbon.
This is a card I CASED from bigsky on SCS. I altered the dimensions and put it in a gorgeous frame I got at Hobby Lobby for half price last week.
One thing to note however is though the frame holds a 5"x7" it actually covers the outside eighth to quarter of an inch on all four sides. So if you decide to try this yourself keep that in mind. This originally had a quarter inch of chocolate chip CS showing around the outside edge but ended up covered by the frame.
This was a card CASED from sleepyinseattle. Again I had a bit of chocolate chip cs showing around the outside edge but it was covered up by the frame.
Sunday was this year's Holiday Open House. Everyone that came asked if I would be posting all the goodies that were on display on my blog? Of course I'm going to, so here they are.
Pennant Christmas Tree
The great thing about paper crafters is how inventive they are. Who else would have thought to turn the Sizzix Pennant Bigz XL Die into a Christmas Tree. This tree was made by cutting out five of the pennants, rolling them with Whisper White Craft Ink, and what has to be my favorite Jumbo Wheel, So Swirly, then heat embossing them with Winter White Embossing Powder. Next just add some Sticky Strip to one half of each Pennant and adhere them back to back. I added a little inking on the edge as well using Old Olive Classic Ink and a sponge.

I had made a very similar Advent Clipboard for last year's Open House and so many people asked for a class that I decided to do just that this year.

You're gettin' muffin for Christmas
This is a terrific piece to decorate the kitchen for Christmas and also a great gift. Several people at Open House commented they planned to make one for someone on their Christmas List. For those of you that are local I purchased the tin at HEB for about $4.50, the night before Open House so they should have plenty on hand.

Come make as many cards as you like. You choose the cards from these three designs and how many of each you would like to create.
All supplies will be precut when you arrive. You do all of your stamping and punching, then assemble as many as you can. Depending on how many you would like to make you may need to finish assembling them at home, but you'll have everything you need ready to go.
Cost $2 per card (envelope included) minimum 10 cards
