In the current Idea Book & Catalog on page 172 there is a Simply Sent Card Kit called Simply Sent Card Elements & More. The simplicity and color of the cards featured in this kit have always appealed to me. When I first saw this kit over a year ago I thought to myself I need to use this for inspiration. Though it has taken quite a while I am very happy with how this card turned out.
Here are the cards shown in the catalog. There are three main elements in this card I chose to copy.
- The design begins at the top left and ends toward the bottom right.
- The Whisper White Card with Old Olive Ink.
- The punched border at the bottom with the sentiment below.
A few notes about making this card.
- The ribbon does go all the way around the card because it is only one layer.
- When I first made the butterflies I had trouble getting the smallest ones out of the die after I sent it through my Big Shot. If you have this problem also run it through the Big Shot with NO tabs on the Multipurpose Platform.
