General Questions

Q.    What is My Digital Studio (MDS)?

A.    A digital paper crafting solution.

Q.    What can I create with MDS?

A.    Photo Books, Cards, Calendars, Movies, DVD's and Multimedia Projects

Q.    Does anything come with the program?

A.    Yes! MDS comes with over 2,000 images including cardstock, patterned papers, punches, stamps and embellishments. In addition when you purchase MDS you will also receive several Designer Templates. All you need to do is add photos and journaling and you're done.

Q.    Does MDS come with a manuarl?

A.    Yes. MDS comes with an electronic manual which is located under the Help menu, User Guide.

Q.    Is MDS easy to use?

A.    MDS is a program simple enough for beginning digital paper crafters but yet it also has enough of the tools and features available to keep experienced digital paper crafters happy.

Q.    What file formats does MDS support?

A.    .JPEG and .PNG

Photo Book Questions

Q.    Is there a minimum or maximum number of pages I can put in an album?

A.    The minimum page count is 22 (11 pieces of paper) and the maximum is 100 pages (50 pieces of paper).

Q.    What size photo books can I create?

A.    12" X 12"        8 1/2" X 11"        11" X 8 1/2"        8" X 8"        5" X 5"

Q.    What type of albums are available?

A.    Albums in the above sizes are available in leather, linen and photo covers (both soft and hard covers).

Q.    Can I print individual pages or only books?

A.    You can print both individual pages and photo books. There is an order minimum of five pages. 

Card Questions

Q.    What size cards can I make?

A.    5" x 7"       7" x 5"       6" x 6"       4 1/4" x 5 1/2"       5 1/2" x 4 1/4"

Q.   How many of the same card can I print?

A.   You can print a single card or any number you like.

Q.   Can I print on the inside of the card?

A.   Yes. You can print on the front, top/left inside and bottom/right inside. When printed by the Professional Printers the back with be white with a Stampin' Up! copyright. If printed at home the back will be white.

Q.   When I use the Professional Printing Service do my cards come with envelopes?

A.   Yes. All cards come with white envelopes in the appropriate size.

Calendar Questions

Q.    What size calendars can I make?

A.    12" x 12" and 8 1/2" x 11" (this is a landscape view, portrait in this size is NOT available)

Q.   Are the calendar grids already there?

A.   Yes, the calendar grids are already there when you choose a Designer Template.

Q.    Which picture page goes with which calendar/grid page?

A.    The photo page always comes right before the calendar/grid page.

Multimedia Project Questions

Q.    What type of multimedia can I use?

A.    You can use video, audio, files, web pages and project pages. (Note: The computer used to view a multimedia project must have the proper software to open the file types included in the project.)

Q.    What type of video files will MDS accept?

A.    .mov (Quicktime)        .avi        .mpg (MPEG)        .swf (Flash)

Q.    What type of audio files will MDS accept?

A.    WAV         MP3         AIFF         MIDI

Q.    How can I share my multimedia projects?

A.    You can share them via DVD, web page or email.
